What Is Golf Therapy?

Playing golf can be highly beneficial for the body, but it can also lead to pain and injuries if practiced incorrectly or excessively. Physiotherapy plays a key role in both preventing and treating golf-related injuries, as well as enhancing golfers’ performance.

The most common injuries among golfers include back pain, shoulder pain, elbow pain, and wrist pain. These issues are often caused by repetitive movements, poor swing technique, incorrect posture, or a lack of mobility in key joints.

Golf is a sport that involves rotation through the entire body. To play golf safely and efficiently, we need good rotation in the lumbar spine and pelvis, as well as in the shoulders, hips, shins, and feet. A lack of mobility or rotation in any of these joints can lead to compensation and hypermobility in others, which often results in discomfort and pain.

Additionally, treatment can improve coordination and overall body functionality, helping to enhance your golf performance.
